How Will You Live Your Dash?

 Hey Everyone!
It has been too long, I've missed you! I've been pretty busy lately, leaving little time for updating the blog. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of posting every day for you guys! So I don't have a look post today but instead a post about what I did on Saturday. This past Saturday I got to be apart of the annual dance marathon at my school for the fourth year in a row. The event raises money through donations for the kids at Riley Children's Hospital here in Indianapolis. The people that attend have to stand for the six hour event while doing fun activities, listening to testimonials from patients, and learning a goofy line dance to perform at the end of the day. I personally love dance marathon because of the way so many people donate their time, effort, and money into something so selfless. At last year's dance marathon there was a question asked by one of the speakers that I will never forget, he asked "How will you live your dash?", as in the dash between your birthdate and the day you die. I think about this almost every day. My answer is probably similar to a lot of other people's, I want to live my dash positively effecting others around me and surrounded by people that will help me be the best version of myself. My expectations for myself aren't the loftiest but sometimes I feel myself falling short of how I want to be living. Days like dance marathon remind me that I have the ability to do great things and that even the smallest of actions can make an impact alone or be apart of something greater. I think that is something for all of us to remember. So if you have never thought about it before think about it now, how will you live your dash?

Madeline K

My New Favorite Trend

 Hey Reckless!

blazer/kimono Forever 21, shirt Windsor, jeans Pac Sun, boots
Charlotte Russe, infinity ring Etsy.com, knot ring & bracelet Khole's,
Native American ring vintage
Today I wore one of my favorite new clothing pieces from a recent shopping haul! I went to the store the other day looking for sweaters and other pieces to get me through the end of winter (blah) but instead came across so many cute kimonos and kimono like pieces! I'm in love with this new trend! Have you guys noticed them yet? The kimono/blazer was my focal point for this look, so I coordinated everything with it and wore minimal jewelry. I didn't even wear a necklace! Which is very uncommon for me. Well I hope you all are having a fantastic week!

Madeline K

I Know Better Than to Say Never!

"I know better than to say never!"
Happy motivational Monday/President's Day!
Having no school on a Monday is the best. Does anyone have any awesome plans? I'll just be hanging around with friends today so I decided to keep my look simple. The good thing about printed tops is you don't have to put much else with it to make it look like a well planned look. I'm so excited at the possibility of featuring some warm weather looks this week, as the weather is supposed to be good. I'll be crossing my fingers!

Hey Reckless!

What I spent my Sunday morning doing today!

Date Night

skirt H&M, dress/shirt Forever 21, tights Forever 21,
boots Charlotte Russe, locket Vintage
 Hey Reckless!

Just a post to follow up yesterday's!This is my Valentine's date night look. This is pretty much the same outfit I wore during the day but with a fancier top to transform it into a night look. It's crazy how a different top can change the whole look! Well in my case I'm wearing a body con dress that I liked the top of with a skater skirt over it. No one will know, unless you tell them or post in on your blog! I hope you all had a great day yesterday, whoever you spent it with. :)

Nothing Says Valentine's More than Kurt Cobain

shirt Forever 21, skirt H&M, tights Forever 21,
boots Charlotte Russe, hairbow Forever 21

 Happy Valentine's day!

Nothing says Valentine's day to me more than sparkly tights and Kurt Cobain (not really). I went for sweet and girly with an edge today. This look is great for day and with a different top and heels can go to date night later on! For all of you single ladies and gents out there Valentine's day doesn't just have to be about your significant other, but instead a day to celebrate all the great people in your life! So I hope you have told someone you love them today and if you haven't go do it! We don't live forever you know.

XOXOXOXO,
Madeline K

Snow and Free Spirits

It has been awhile since I've taken advantage of the snow for photos. Thanks to my friend A for being a great model and being willing to scale a three foot wall of snow in heeled boots to get to this spot!

 Happy Sunday Reckless!
I decided to play around with color today, since I wear a lot of black and white typically. What do you guys think? I hope you all are having a great Sunday fun day! I'll be spending mine editing photos and putting off important homework.

A Little Party Never Killed Nobody

dress Khole's, tights Target, boots
Charlotte Russe, fake pearls Vintage
Hey Everyone! Just a look at what I wore last night to the Gatsby themed dance I went to! I didn't have any 20's shift dresses on hand so instead I went for a dress that was extravagant like the rich in Gatsby and added the long pearls to tie it all together. I wore the tights and boots more out of necessity and I was lucky that they didn't ruin the whole look. In a perfect world I would have had short hair and a head piece to finish off the throwback look. Well I hope you all had a great Friday night! XO, Madeline K  *Side note, sparkles don't care about you and they will scratch you all night. You've been warned.

The Roomies

Hey Reckless!
This is just a photo from yesterday's blog shoot that I fell in love with and thought
I would share. How cute are these roomates? They're going to have

 Hey Reckless!

So I've decided that snow days are the best days to try on new outfits that you can't wear outside yet. Also they are the best days for pretending that you're Taylor Swift. I filmed my first beauty video on how to do your makeup like Taylor Swift. The video will be up soon! I hope you all are having a fantastic day wherever you are!

The Classic Cabin Chic Comfy Cutie

 Reckless!

shirt Forever 21, sweater Tilly's, jeans Khole's, boots Rack Room
Another great fashionista friend I know! Natalie always looks comfortable and cute. She is the best at what I like to call cabin chic and Pinterest looks. She rocks layers, pops of color, and classic trends like I only wish I could. I love seeing the looks she puts together everyday!
