Sweet and Simple

dress H&M, tights Target, boots

 Thank God It's Friday Reckless!

Today I wore a dress I recently bought from H&M. I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on, which hasn't happened in a while! It fits perfectly and the basic black and white dots have a classic look. I also love it because it can be worn in basically every season with the right accessories. Today I paired the dress with my maroon tights and black lace up boots. I curled my hair to further the classic look and although you can't see I have small dangling vintage silver heart earrings. To keep warm I throw on either a leather jacket or oversized grey sweater, depending on the look I'm going for. Have a great weekend guys!

The Real Concert Look

Trevor Dahl from Plug In Stereo

Jonathon Dahl
 Hey Reckless!

So I know I said that I wore that black maxi to the Plug In Stereo concert but I'm a girl so of course I changed my mind about six times after that. So instead I wore a red maxi skirt from Tilly's and loose fitting white tank top from Forever 21. A long artsy necklace and leather jacket completed the look!

*Also notice how everyone thought they had to bend down for me even when I told them they didn't have to haha.

Lazy Days

Once again I take a great candid photo
 Happy Thursday Reckless!

Due to two late nights in a row, today just had to be a lazy day. This outfit is pretty self explanatory but I would like to point out that when wearing leggings make sure your shirt that is long enough to cover half of your butt. Otherwise it really just looks like you don't have pants on. My tank top wasn't long enough for my taste so I put on the flannel for warmth and to make the lazy look appear more put together than it actually was. Also I would like to say that leggings with fur on the inside are the best thing EVER! If you don't have a pair, I would invest. I got mine from Charlotte Russe for $10. Well I'll have a cuter outfit for you guys tomorrow I promise but until then have a great rest of your lazy Thursday!

Winter Concert Wear

dress Forever 21, tights & scarf Target, jacket Macy's
Hey Reckless! Just a quick post of what I decided to wear to the concert tonight! It is a little too cold for slits so I wore colored tights underneath for excitement. The scarf also was to break up the black of the jacket and dress combo. Well I hope you all have a fun night planned! You know what I'll be doing! XO, Madeline K *Ignore that I forgot to put shoes on haha.

Pop Art!

Hey Reckless!
Just had some fun with my latest photo shoot. I painted my model K with acrylic paint and had her stand in front of a green piece of fabric. The word bubbles are stuck to the fabric. I just did this for fun and I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Are Your Hot Pants On and Up?

Hey Reckless!
So today I really thought I'd show off my reckless style
by wearing none other but my hot pants! I can't wear these without thinking of the Ke$ha song that says "and we got our hot pants on and up" I don't know why.
This is one of my favorite outfits because of the comfy oversized sweater from H&M
and the glittery tights. I sometimes switch this outfit up
with a basic white tank top and gray tights. Tomorrow night
I plan to wear this outfit to the Plug In Stereo concert I'm going to
but with a plain white tank top, artsy necklace, and leather jacket.
Hopefully I won't freeze! I hope you all have an amazing
week! Stay awesome!

OMG You're Sooo #artsy

 Happy Sunday Reckless!

Just a little outfit I put together for the post this morning. The dress that I'm wearing I can never find anything to wear with so I played around a little. I thought the black lace trim of my beloved kimono, from gypsy soul collective, really helped tie it together with the dress. The colored tights I put on just for fun. I feel very artsy in this outfit so I would probably wear it to an art museum or window shopping. Some kind of hipster activity, haha. I'll have to wait for the weather to warm up though! Well I hope you all have a great start to your week!

The Perfect Outfit for a Busy Day

 Good Morning Reckless!

Other than the crazy wind outside it is actually warm! If you
consider 34 warm. Today is going to be a crazy busy day for me
so I decided that I should wear something cute and comfortable.
That is why I paired my new super comfortable skinny jeans
with one of my favorite loose fitting band t-shirts. I love this t-shirt
because it is one of my favorite bands (A Rocket to the Moon) but also because it has a
vintage band t-shirt feel and look to it, so it's more fashionable
than typical band shirts. To add some pop to the outfit I added the
mint colored flats and the cheetah scarf. I think it is always important
to add an interesting pop to an otherwise basic t-shirt and jeans combo.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Do Not Be Anxious About Anything

"Do not be anxious about anything."

It is almost Friday Reckless!

I hope everyone had a great day! I might be the only one but
I actually love Thursdays. Good things just always happen on Thursdays (knock on wood!). So tonight I met with my weekly bible study and we had a good talk about goals and dreams, we read Philippians 4 and the words "Do not be anxious about anything" really stuck out to me. I wouldn't consider myself a worrier but I have realized recently that I tend to overthink and plan everything out, even things I can't control, and I sit back and think to myself "why am I doing this?". So I think I'm going to write this quote down and put it somewhere I'll see it everyday so I'll remind myself not to worry about anything and trust that everything that needs to happen will happen in time. Alright that's it, my first non fashion blog post. Thanks for baring with me! So all I can say about this outfit really is that I'm trying to fool myself into thinking it isn't winter and -22 out. Leggings underneath were a must though! Anyways, have a happy Friday!

Madeline K
*By the way the key that I'm wearing in this post is from
the awesome nonprofit organization called the Giving Keys!
It is a business run by people looking to transition out of
homelessness. The keys are all unique and they are engraved
with a word that holds meaning to you. I chose the word
fearless because I want to become more fearless. I definitely
                               recommend everyone get one!

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday Reckless!
I hope your week has been going great! Those of you snow lovers in the
Midwest are probably ecstatic right now at the possibility of more snow.
Although snow isn't my favorite it is perfect sweater weather!
Cardigan weather in this case. So this is an outfit I just put together
for this post and I am in love with it! Mostly because I get to wear
my chucks that have been neglected for the past few months.
I always get questions about where I got my chucks because of the studs
and no one ever guesses that I did them myself! It is way cheaper
than buying pre-studded converse. I just got a bag of 50 studs
from studsandspikes.com (super cheap) and stuck them into the
fabric of my converse. Later I was informed that there are tools
you can buy to make application easier but I was fine just using
my hands. I had a lot of studs left over so I also made a cross
design on the back of a destroyed jean jacket. I'll have to feature
that in a future post. Keep rocking guys! Same time tomorrow?

Madeline K

There is a Little Pinterest White Girl in All of Us

shirt Old Navy, jean shirt Target, scarf, leggings, & scarf
Charlotte Russe, socks Khole's

Hey Reckless!

The snow won't stop! I only slightly froze by butt off taking
these photos. So my look today was inspired by
an outfit I'm sure we've all seen on Pinterest if we frequent the fashion
section. I pair this jean shirt typically with maxi skirts in the Spring and Summer
and leggings in the Fall and Winter. It is perfect for lazy days because
I can throw it on over any top to make it look more thought out and a printed scarf
in my opinion just finishes off the look. Is anyone else more
than ready for Summer? I know I am.

Madeline K
I'm really good at taking candid pictures guys
I swear.

The Palazzo Pants Vibe

pants Windsor, jacket Macy's, tank Windsor

Happy Sunday Reckless!
So I just want to announce my love for palazzo pants. This pair is super versatile because their black and cream and a simple print. I like to pair mine with loose fitting t-shirts for a relaxed look but I dress them up with a black or colored tank top and maybe a leather jacket. Add some jewelry, and if it's warm enough wedges/gladiators, and you have an effortless boho look. There are more options for them in the summer of course but I can't help throwing them on once in a while because they're so comfortable. Hope you guys have a great rest of the day!

Madeline K

Cat Dresses and First World Struggles

This is my face when I have no one around
to take photos for me
Thank God it's Friday!
Did you know that taking pictures without a tripod is really hard?
For these pictures my camera was balancing on a tissue box, a book,
and a tape dispenser, but hey the good part is at least it worked! So
today I'm channeling my inner cat lady with my infamous cat dress
I love to pair this dress with tights and boots and then switch it up
with either a jean vest, leather jacket, or a sweater. Anything just to
break the print of the dress up a little! I also like to keep my hair simple
and down or pulled back so it doesn't distract from the dress.
Well I hope you all have enjoy your Friday night!

College T-shirts and Skater Skirts

Hey Reckless!
So it is cold and snowing hard today so I decided to take some indoor pictures for a change! Today I decided to advertise my college of choice, Eastern Kentucky University. I of course couldn't just wear a t-shirt though so I dressed it up with the newest edition to my closet, a black velvet tribal print skater skirt that I got for $10 at Charlotte Russe. This was also my first time wearing colored tights, I have to say I love the personality they give the outfit and the color is actually my college's school color! Perfect!

Guess What Day it is!

Hey Reckless!
So this is one of my favorite outfits! I will always have an intense love for band t-shirts, especially ones that can be dressed up or down. I always make sure the t-shirts I buy can be worn tons of different ways before buying them, but then again I do that for almost everything! So today I was going for a laid back art student look with my favorite Nirvana t-shirt from H&M and the warmest sweater I own which features my favorite, Aztec print. Then I paired black motorcycle pants with dark denim in an attempt to make myself look taller. I can't tell if it worked or not!
